Etsu is appointed PPP Coordinator by Governor Bago

Niger State governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has appointed Mohammed Saidu Etsu as the coordinator, Public Private Partnership for the state government.

Etsu, an economist, has extensive knowledge in both public and private sectors having worked with the Niger State government before joining LEADERSHIP Group where he rose to the position of general manager of special project, where he was responsible for improving efficiency and increasing departmental profits while managing the company‘s daily operations.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Etsu ran for APC‘s highest party office when at 36, he was the youngest contender for the position of national chairman of the party at the 2022 national convention.

Reacting to the appointment, Etsu expressed gratitude to Bago „for the confidence of saddling me with this important assignment.“

He described Governor Bago as a pathfinder whose governance trajectory since assumption of office signals the dawn of a new deal for the development aspirations of the state.

He said, „My assignment as coordinator of the state‘s PPP, is an onerous task and I will give my best to it. The taskmaster that he is, the governor himself has led the way already as a pathfinder; demonstrating an indefatigable spirit in his drive to deliver a #NewNiger.

“His example has created a path for me, and I come to the office motivated. In making sure that I deliver on my mandate, I‘ll follow this path diligently, and with utmost loyalty to the Bago plan of delivering a New Niger.“

Etsu is an advocate of good governance, and has led many progressive causes. He is the convener of YouthLeadNigeria, an advocacy movement under the auspices of Egalitarian Mission Africa.
