Examination Malpractice: MAPOLY suspends 19 students

Nineteen students at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Ojere, Abeokuta, Ogun State, have been suspended for engaging in improper behavior during exams, and two more students have received warning letters to stop their illegal activities.

While the remaining 15 students were suspended for four semesters, four of the suspended students will be out of school for two semesters.

This was stated in a statement released on Monday by the organization’s public relations officer, Mr. Yemi Ajibola.

Ajibola had said that the Examination Misconduct Panel’s ruling was the reason for the disciplinary actions.

Ajibola said, “The report showed a drastic reduction in the number of students’ involvement in examination malpractices when compared with the previous reports on the same issue.

‘This shows that the efforts of the management of the Ogun State Government-owned foremost tertiary institution on sensitization against examination malpractices and moulding the students for acceptance in the labour market are yielding positive results

“It shows that in the near future, there will be no students in MAPOLY who will be involved in such illegal activities.”
