Factional ADC Chairman Dismisses Purported Expulsion Of Leaders

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has once more cautioned Nigerians and stakeholders of the party that Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu, its erstwhile National Chairman, has no legal standing to act on its behalf, his tenure having elapsed since August 2022.

The party dismissed Nwosu’s role in the purported expulsion of key leaders of ADC as charade that could only be contemplated by a drowning man trying to grab a last straw.

Senator Patricia Akwashiki, Interim National Chairman of the party, in a statement released in Abuja on Saturday, asked Nwosu to stop making himself a laughing stock and await the decision of the court, since he had sought legal intervention on his status.

Akwashiki called on members of the party and Nigerians to ignore the diversionary, divisive and destabilisation activities of Nwosu, who she said, was lamenting over a spilt milk.

According to her, ADC would not be distracted by the actions of Nwosu and his hirelings now masquerading as genuine officers of the party.

Akwashiki said: “Nwosu is the former chairman whose tenure has elapsed, who now seeks to pull the party down because he failed in his bid to extend his tenure after 17 years as party chairman.

“All expulsions and suspensions from Nwosu and his cabal are merely diversionary and a face saving measure as he faces investigation for fraud, forgery and impersonation by the Nigeria Police.
