FCTA confirms shutdown of Lead British International School over bully

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has officially announced the closure of Lead British International School in Gwarimpa, Abuja. This move was made in response to public outcry over videos that went viral accusing students of bullying at the school.

Following the visit of Uju Kenedy-Ohanenye, the Minister of Women Affairs, to the school on Tuesday, a staff member announced that the school would be closed for three days.

The Honorable Minister for Women Affairs had closed the school for the specified duration, according to Kabiru Musa, the Public Relations Officer of the FCT Education Secretariat, who was contacted.

“Yes it was shut down by the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs for 3 days”, he Responded.
