As the Flamingos prepare for their Round of 16 clash against Italy at the ongoing FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, midfielder Tabitha Terlumu has expressed strong confidence in the team’s ability to advance to the next stage of the competition.
Speaking after Nigeria’s convincing victory over Samoa, Terlumu highlighted the team’s growing belief and unity as key factors ahead of the crucial encounter with the Italians.
“We got a good result against Samoa, and we believe that if we bring the same mindset we had against France and Samoa, we can go past Italy,” she said.
“It’s a knockout stage where anything can happen, but if we stay united, play with zeal, and keep our confidence high, we can achieve something special. We have everything it takes to reach the final.”
