First Lady Remi Tinubu Donates Cars to APC Women in Opposition States

The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has given cars to women leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in five states controlled by opposition parties. The states are Abia, Anambra, Bauchi, Osun, and Oyo.

She made the announcement on Tuesday during the launch of the “Tinubu Torchbearers” support group at the State House banquet hall in Abuja.

She said the cars would be delivered before the end of the week and would belong personally to the women leaders, not to the party.

According to her, each beneficiary should register the vehicle in her own name and use it for party work and community service.

Oluremi Tinubu also urged APC governors to support women leaders in their states by providing vehicles and other resources.

She said empowering women is an important part of the party’s goals and helps strengthen political activities at the grassroots level.

She praised the APC for promoting internal democracy and peaceful handling of disagreements during its recent primaries.

She also encouraged members of the Tinubu Torchbearers group to support and promote government policies ahead of the 2027 elections.

The APC National Women Leader, Mary Alile-Idele, also spoke at the event. She called on women across the country to mobilize support for the government’s agenda.

She added that the group now has structures in all 774 local government areas to promote government programs.

She also commended the government’s reforms and the First Lady’s empowerment initiatives, saying they have benefited women, young people, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
