Fisayo Dele-Bashiru: Super Eagles Midfielder’s Return Date Revealed – Report

Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is expected to return to action for Lazio very soon, following a five-week layoff.

The Super Eagles star has been sidelined for the past five weeks due to a hamstring injury which he sustained in a Serie A game between Lazio and Roma on September 21.

That injury has made him miss Lazio’s last five Serie A games. It also knocked him out of contention for a place in the national team during the last international break with Nigeria, when they played Lesotho and Benin.

However, reports from Lazio News 24 suggest that former Manchester City man is close to returning to action.

The Super Eagles midfielder has already started training at the club and will likely return to action in the coming days.

When Will Dele-Bashiru Return To Action?

Although, it has been confirmed that Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will return to action soon, the exact date of his return has not been confirmed.

Lazio have two more games before the international break next month, and it is unlikely that Dele-Bashiru will make it in time for the game against Cagliari next week.

However, he might be available for the game before the international break, which is against former champions Inter Milan.

Will Dele-Bashiru Be Available For The Playoffs?

It will be a surprise if Dele-Bashiru makes Eric Chelle’s squad for the World Cup playoffs next month.

The game is barely two weeks away, and it would be out of place to select a player who hasn’t played a lot of football for almost two months.

As such, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder will likely be left out of the playoffs next month. Nonetheless, he will be hoping to bounce back after the international break.

That will be the last audition for players before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in December. If he shines for Lazio, he will likely make the squad to Morocco.
