Former Rivers Lawmaker Supports Fubara for 2027 and Exposes Wike’s Election-Making Strategies

A former Rivers State lawmaker, Nnam Robinson Ewoh, has made some revelations about Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, labelling him a “destroyer” who has never won an election through popular votes.

Ewoh alleged that Wike’s electoral success is rooted in manipulated results, rather than genuine voter support.

“For Wike to win elections, they have to write results for him. He has never won an election by popular vote,” Ewoh said.

Ewoh said the Peoples Democratic Party began declining since Wike started playing a key role.

He said, “Wike has never been a success story for the PDP. He has been a disaster for the PDP.”

Ewoh added that despite Wike’s influence, Governor Siminalayi Fubara will secure his second term in 2027. “What will determine Governor Fubara’s return in 2027 are Rivers’ votes, not Wike’s vote. Wike has a single vote, and that cannot make the governor lose the election.”

Ewoh warned President Bola Tinubu to be cautious with Wike, suggesting that the minister may turn against him as political events unfold.

It should be noted that after the 2023 elections, Wike and his former political protégé, Governor Fubara, parted ways over an alleged struggle for control of the state’s political structures.
