Former UK Prime Minister, Blair Reveals Why He Visited The President-Elect, Bola Tinubu In Nigeria

As the swearing in ceremony on May 29th, the former prime minister for the United Kingdom, Tony Blair who made a visit to Nigeria has shared why he took the initiative to visit the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Defense house in Abuja.

Tony Blair, according to one of the spokesperson of the then presidential campaign council for the APC, Bayo Onanuga, he said Tony Blair noted that the visit was necessary because he needed to understand the priorities which his administration has when he finally becomes the president.

The former prime minister of the United Kingdom who made such statement further noted that the Blair institute has a project in Nigeria, adding that they also want to be part of ensuring that his leadership priorities are actualized.

In his words… “We would like to help in any way with your administration. We only need to know what the leadership priorities are and help in how to actualize them”

Tony Blair’s visit to Nigeria is however coming after the president-elect return to the country following his visit to Europe, and also a few days for his Inauguration as the president.
