Fresh Bandit Attacks in Kaduna Leave 9 Dead, Several Abducted
Kaduna Bandit Attacks: 9 Killed, Several Abducted in New Wave of Violence

Armed bandits launched coordinated attacks on Thursday evening in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
A resident of Birnin Gwari town, the local government headquarters, described the assault as a well-planned operation.
According to sources, the attackers surrounded Layin Danauta village in Kuyello Ward, blocking all entry and exit points while firing sporadically.
By around 7 p.m., after the bandits had retreated, nine bodies were recovered, and about 13 injured persons were rushed to hospital for treatment.
Several villagers were also reportedly abducted.
Authorities warn that the full extent of the casualties may not be known until search and rescue operations resume on Friday morning.
Efforts to continue the search on Thursday night were halted due to darkness and fears that the attackers could still be nearby.
The recovered bodies are expected to be buried today (Friday), either before or shortly after the Friday congregational prayers.
