Gift Orban, the bench warmer, is still irate at Gent

Gift Orban is still cutting the figure of a frustrated man at Belgian club KAA Gent after he was again a late substitute in a 1-1 home draw with league leaders Union St.Gilloise at the weekend.

He was only introduced to this game in the 84th minute and after the game he kicked a bottle of water in anger.

“I was surprised that Orban was not allowed to come in earlier at Gent, although in the end he was not able to make a difference,” said analyst Rene Vandereycken.

It is indeed strange that Orban was not allowed to come on earlier, especially given the situation in the Gent attack

However, Gent coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck had his own opinion.

“Do you think we will create four chances from the pressing with Orban on the field?,” he asked rhetorically.

Gent are now seven points adrift of table toppers Union and their star striker, who could fetch them over 20 Million Euros in January, is very unhappy.
