However, reactions from Nigerians on social media have been mixed, with many expressing disappointment over the perceived insignificance of the salary increment:

Nwachukwu questioned the adequacy of the increment, suggesting it may not cover basic needs for families. Muomegha raised doubts about the initial salary and the impact of the additional ₦10,000. Neiro expressed skepticism about the significance of the increment, using the phrase “Ten ten taozin” to convey doubt. Kennedy humorously questioned if the additional amount could only afford local food items like okpa or akpu, highlighting concerns about the adequacy of workers’ salaries. Oriakhi contrasted the increment with the higher salaries provided by Governor Obaseki of Edo State, implying dissatisfaction with the situation in Ebonyi.
