Gov Ododo Appeals to FG for Assistance in Addressing Insecurity, Flooding in Kogi

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has urged the federal government to provide assistance in addressing the issues of insecurity and frequent flooding affecting various parts of the state.

In a statement released on Friday by Ismaila Isah, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Governor Ododo emphasized the need for increased financial support from the federal government to tackle these challenges effectively.

He made this plea while hosting a delegation from the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) at the Government House in Lokoja. Governor Ododo highlighted Kogi’s strategic position as a transit state that shares borders with the Federal Capital Territory and ten other states, underscoring the potential impact of the state’s security and flooding issues on neighboring regions, including the federal capital, Abuja.
