Governor Sanwo-olu’s approval of N3 billion for perfumes and N7.5 million for rechargeable fans elicits reactions

According to Vanguard, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, has drawn a lot of flak for choosing to spend N3 billion on rechargeable fans for his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, and N7.5 million on replacing the liquid fragrance in his office.

The document also revealed plans to set aside N581 million for the renovation of Saint Andrews Anglican Church in the Oke-Popo area. Similarly, records indicated that the office of the deputy governor was granted N30 million for monthly outreach programs for the less privileged citizens, led by the deputy governor’s wife, along with an additional N30 million for an empowerment program.
