Hamas’ October 7 attack, according to a Hezbollah leader, was “100% Palestinian.”

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, declared in a public speech for the first time since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict that the operation launched by the militant Hamas group on October 7 was clearly “100 percent Palestinian” in its execution, according to Reuters.

The strongest escalation between the two groups since the 2006 war has occurred as Hezbollah, a formidable military force backed by Iran, has clashed with Israeli forces along the border between Lebanon and Israel.

Speaking via video link on a large screen in Beirut, Nasrallah expressed gratitude towards groups in Yemen and Iraq, forming what is known as the “axis of resistance.” This coalition includes Shiite Muslim Iraqi militias involved in conflicts with US forces in Syria and Iraq, as well as Yemen’s Houthi rebels, who have joined the fray by deploying drones against Israel.

Nasrallah cautioned that a broader conflict in the Middle East could materialize, contingent on the unfolding events in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the significance of the developments along the border, highlighting their far-reaching implications.

The Hezbollah leader contended that the October 7 operation had a seismic impact on Israel and laid bare the vulnerabilities of the country. He criticized Israel’s current approach in its conflict with Hamas, asserting that it is pursuing objectives that are beyond its reach.
