‘He abandoned Kaduna, always sleeps in Abuja’ – El-Rufai’s son hits Governor Uba Sani

Bashir, son of the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has accused the incumbent, Uba Sani, of allegedly relocating to Abuja and neglecting his official duties.

Lagos Reporters earlier reported that Governor Sani had said that he inherited a huge debt burden of $587 million, N85 billion and 115 contractual liabilities from the El-Rufai administration, making it difficult for him to pay workers’ salaries.

In a swift reaction via a series of tweets on Saturday, Bashir accused Governor Sani of abandoning his responsibility by always staying away from the state and hibernating in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

Bashir also accused Governor Sani, who is a friend of his father, of surrounding himself with incompetent aides appointed for political purposes.

Bashir said the Uba Sani administration has resorted to deflecting by raising alarm on a debt burden inherited from Governor El-Rufai administration.

Bashir accused Governor Sani and his team of incompetence, contract inflation and Forex speculation.

The junior El-Rufai wondered why they were giving debt burden as an excuse for their poor performance.

“These guys have realised that they are wholly incompetent and the only way to mask the nonsense is to deflect. From a Governor that is always sleeping in Abuja to a litany of incompetent aides that were only rewarded for foolish political reasons,” he wrote.

Asked about the debt profile of the State, he responded: “FYI: He was the Senator from Kaduna who lobbied & approved the loans.”

He added: “One would think that from all the FAAC allocations these unserious clowns have changed to dollars, debt would be the least of their problems.

“The current administration in Kaduna is building a banquet hall for 7BN naira and is lamenting about debt left by the previous administration.”
