I am not working for Ahmad Lawan’s emergence as Senate President- Senator Sani Musa alleges

According to a news that was published by The Nation Newspaper online this morning, it was reported that Senator Sani Musa (Niger East geopolitical zone) has denied working for Senator Ahmad Lawan’s re-election as Senate President. He described the reports as untrue, malicious and a hatchet job.

It was reported by The Nation that, a report had said that some senators-elect, including Sani Musa, had formed an alliance to ensure the return of Senator Ahmad Lawan as the President of the 10th Assembly.

But Senator Sani Musa, who is also a major contender for the position of the Deputy Senate President, said that the sponsored publication was aimed at causing confusion, by pitching the All Progressives Congress’ senators-elect against the president-elect, Chief Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima.

Musa urged senators-elect, and the public to disregard the false information which is a figment of the imagination of the hatchet rumour mongers.

He also insisted that, he stands by the position of his colleagues in the North-Central geopolitical zone, who had endorsed him for the position of Deputy Senate President in the 10th Assembly.

He also said he will not do anything contrary to that position which had been approved by the governors in the North-Central geopolitical zone.
