A plus-size lady identified as Amaka Onyema narrated how her body size affected her social interaction with people, especially her neighbours. In an interview with BBC News, Amaka revealed that she has always been a fat woman but recently, her weight increased significantly after she got married and gave birth to a baby.
According to her, Doctors advised her to lose weight because she developed high blood pressure during the pregnancy. However, the situation became worse after she delivered because she almost double her pre-pregnancy weight. Amaka narrated that many people mock her and call her different names due to the situation.
She said even though her husband likes big women, she feels useless anytime he looks at her after she added more weight. However, her weight has recently reduced drastically after she modified her diet and started going for exercise.
“My weight increased so much that I became a laughing stock to people, especially my neighbours. They’ll call me a bag of rice and fat woman. Even the way my husband looked at me made me feel useless.” She stated
