“I can tell you that at this moment we have lost like four people; people died as a result of the shock of what happened,” said Hon. Dachung Bagos, a former member of the PDP Plateau State House of Representatives, in response to the crisis in the state caused by the dismissal of five PDP lawmakers. He said that after learning about the events in the state, a woman collapsed and was taken to the hospital immediately.
Speaking further in a video posted by Channels Television, Hon. Dachung Bagos said, “People had high blood pressure as a result of the incident that took place in Plateau State, and some died in the hospital”.
In his words, “As a representative of the people, you will definitely get this kind of reaction from the people when they know that there is an act of injustice against them. The issue of sacking seven National House of Assembly members, two senators, and five House of Representatives members is shocking. I can tell you that at the moment we have lost like four people; people died because of the shock of what has happened; a woman was holding a baby; when she heard what happened, she slumped and was rushed to the hospital, where she died; many people had high blood pressure and died in the hospital; and as of today, we have recorded deaths”.
