I Have Lost Trust In The Judiciary, So I Won’t Challenge The APC’s Win – Melaye

Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for the just concluded Kogi governorship race, has stated that he will not be contesting the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) electoral victory on November 11 because he does not believe in the court.

Melaye stressed that the court is no longer the last choice for average Nigerians when making this declaration on Wednesday.

Melaye stated, “The judiciary is no longer the last resort for the common man; it is now a department under the All Progressives Congress.”

With the judiciary under the control of the APC, why should any responsible person appear before the tribunal? My faith in the judiciary has completely evaporated.

Recall that APC’s Usman Ododo was declared winner of the governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to Daily Post, Ododo defeated Melaye and Social Democratic Party, SDP’s Muri Ajaka to emerge winner.
