I was Atiku’s adviser on Research, but when he stopped listening to my advice, I pulled back-Ardo

The former Special Adviser on Research and Strategy to former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Dr Umar Ardo, during an interview with The Punch, claimed that while Atiku Abubakar was the vice president in the country, he stopped listening to advices despite the fact that he was his Special Adviser.

While he was talking on his statement made some weeks ago that the PDP may suspend Atiku if he doesn’t suspend his ambition, said he do advise the former vice president on Research and Strategy matters, but the moment he stopped listening to him, he also sat back and was watching him.

He said, “I want you to know that as Vice President, I was Atiku’s adviser on Research and Strategy, but when he stopped listening to my advice, I pulled back and watched him. He made so many errors that denied him the presidency. He so much believed that it was his to pick on a silver platter.”

Further talking, he said, “But to answer your question, I didn’t say the PDP will suspend Atiku. I only made what I see as an objective analysis of the political situation of the party on the ground.”
