President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that he is eager to leave office and resume his favourite activity of caring for his livestock. This is one of the things he hasn’t been doing since taking office eight years ago. This was mentioned by the President on Wednesday during the Federal Executive Council’s (FEC) final meeting.
The President thanked his cabinet colleagues for their dedication since he took office in a statement issued by Femi Adesina, the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity.
In the Daily Post report, the President was quoted as saying, “I also thank God for the strength and for keeping us together. I anticipate that many of you would argue that Daura has not gotten too far away simply because I am no longer Mr President. The numerous activities I have been unable to do since May 29th, 2015 will also make me joyful, including one of my favourite pastimes: caring for my cattle.
“I expect to hear good news anytime our names are mentioned and wish all of us the best. God bless you and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
