The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has stated explicitly that he’s not going to forgive the people who had betrayed him while he intended to step up his political career. Governor Wike speaking at the pre-inauguration ceremony termed the people who betrayed him as Armed Robbers who could destroy him if he keeps them close.
He noted that the Bible gives Christians the rule that they must forgive but he contended that it’s a different ball game in politics. According to him, if he brings back the people who had betrayed him, there is a chance that he may never survive the next evil plan against him.
He said, ”The Bible says forgive but I will not forgive an armed robber. Because if I forgive you now, I don’t know if you will take me out the next time. You know there are different types of armed robbers, there are armed robbers who can kill you immediately they see you on sight. I will never forgive those people who betrayed me because they nearly gave me a stroke. For somebody to better you and let your BP go up, you should never work with such people again. Because if you are lucky to have survived this one, you may never survive the next betrayal.”
