Igbos Were Disastrous To Tinubu Because They Voted For Obi, But 5 Things Made Him Defeat Obi -Sagay

The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Prof. Itse Sagay has alleged that the Igbos in the just concluded presidential poll were disastrous to the president-elect, Bola Tinubu because they gave Peter Obi over 80 percent votes, but fortunately for Tinubu, five things him defeat Peter Obi in the election.

Sagay who spoke while fielding questions on Channels Television described the 2023 elections as one of the best in the country, while hailing the role of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) in the exercise. He also argued that the 2023 elections were determined by ethnicity, religion and organisational skills.

Sagay allegedly said the Igbos really dealt with Bola Tinubu in the southeast region because they all voted for Peter Obi, but above all, what gave Tinubu the edge were 5 things, which are; his capacity to organize, plan and plant agencies and supporters and various administrative bodies all over the states in the country. He allegedly said that these five things was what made Tinubu won the election because any region where he didn’t win, he would come up as the runner up and the strategy added to his victory.

He said, “Igbos were disastrous to Tinubu because they voted for Obi, but 5 things made him defeat Obi. The 2023 elections were determined by ethnicity, religion, and organisational skills. But above all, what gave Tinubu the edge was his capacity to organize, plan and plant agencies and supporters and various administrative bodies all over the states in the country. But, the southeast was very disastrous election for PDP and APC where Labour Party was scoring 80, 83 percent.
