Inauguration: We will hold a vigil every day in Abuja until Bola Tinubu is sworn in – Group

According to reports coming from DAILY POST, an APC support group has vowed to begin a three days vigil on the streets of Abuja till the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is sworn in on Monday.

The report has it that the group known as the Natives also pointed out that it would not condone a parallel administration or any act that could lead to unrest ahead of Tinubu’s swearing-in on Monday.

The report claims that the leader of the group, Smart Edwards, noted this while communicating with newsmen on Friday in Abuja during a Unity Walk to the Court of Appeal.

In the report, he indicated that the sacrifice became crucial to demoralize agendas by those he characterized as unethical elements who are bent on establishing a parallel government

The report adds that he said those aggrieved as a result of the general poll should allow the tribunal to make pronouncements rather than influencing anarchy in the country.

“I want to notify us that we are going to begin a vigil. We are going to hold it on the streets of Abuja until Asiwaju is sworn-in. We are going to carry on until that barton is given to him and until he is declared the sitting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is democracy and this is a country we must protect”, he said.
