Iruenabere”Wike said Rivers State is not Lagos State where one man will claim Godfatherism”

A legal expert and PDP supporter in Rivers State, Stanford Iruenabere, emphasized that former Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State had openly stated that his state is different from Lagos and that he would not meddle in his successor’s decisions. It seems, though, that Wike might have forgotten his own assertion.

During an interview with Silverbird TV, Iruenabere commented on the disagreement between Wike and his successor, Governor Sim Fubara, emphasizing that the genuine strength of Rivers State resides in its people. He also mentioned that the people have expressed their endorsement of Governor Fubara.

In Iruenabere’s words: “Nyesom Wike said Rivers State is not Lagos State where one man will claim Godfatherism and when he finishes, he will leave, he will not dictate what the present governor will and will not do but I think he forgot that he made such statement in public domain. And he always wants to be talking about structure, what is structure, and who are the structure? Rivers people are the structure and as a structure, we are with Sim Fubara”.
