Isa Sanusi ‘A Boy Was Recorded on Video Saying He Wants to Grow Up & Take Revenge For His Father’

In an interview with Arise TV, Isa Sanusi, Convener of Amnesty International Nigeria, brought attention to a disturbing event that occurred in Zamfara State involving a six-year-old boy. He disclosed that the boy’s parents were murdered by bandits, and in a video, the young man declared his intention to grow up and exact revenge on those who killed his father. Sanusi brought attention to the significant effects of insecurity on the lives of defenseless youngsters in the area with this moving example.

Isa Sanusi emphasised the urgency of addressing the ongoing insecurity crisis in the country, part in the northwest. He underscored the importance of prioritising the well-being and future prospects of the country’s youth, emphasising that a secure and prosperous future hinges on safeguarding the lives and aspirations of the younger generation.

According to him, “There was a video that went round recently of a six-year-old boy in Zamfara State, and that boy, his parents were killed by bandits, and the boy was recorded on video saying that he wants to grow up and when he grows up, he will take revenge for his father. There are many children; you just can’t count them, so definitely, and this is a six-year-old boy, so what we’re trying to say is that we have to begin to take the future of this country very seriously. There is no way we can have prosperity; there’s no way; even if you like power, there is no way you can have power if there are no people.”
