ISWAP Terrorists Launch Attack On Borno Community

Terrorists suspected to be members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) launched a violent attack in the early hours of Saturday in the town of Kareto in Mobbar Local Government Area, Borno State.

Local reports reveal that the attackers entered the town very early in the morning. Many homes and properties have reportedly been damaged.

A resident of Kareto, speaking anonymously, told reporters that the community is still waiting for security forces to arrive and provide help.

Counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, who closely monitors terror activities in the region, confirmed the attack in a post on his X social media account.
