This assertion was made in a post that was published on Dr. Moses Paul’s official X handle on Wednesday.
While speaking at a gathering, the former governor of Anambra state said it will cost approximately N5 million to drill one borehole. Peter Obi however, went ahead to appeal to 0.1 percent of Nigeria’s population which is approximately 200,000 individuals to sponsor the drilling of one borehole per year.
Peter Obi was quoted as saying;
“Having witnessed firsthand the dire need for access to clean water during my recent nationwide tour, I am compelled to take action. It costs approximately N5 million to drill a borehole, a vital source of water for many communities.
Recognizing the immense wealth within our nation, I appeal to the generosity of 0.1 percent of our population which is approximately 200,000 individuals to sponsor the drilling of one borehole per year.
