Hon. Jafaaru Yakubu, Chairman of the House Committee on Nigeria–China Parliamentary Friendship and Member representing Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency of Taraba state, has officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Yakubu explained that his decision to leave the PDP was the result of consultations with political associates, constituents, and stakeholders. He emphasized that the APC’s commitment to infrastructural renewal, economic diversification, and inclusive governance convinced him that it was the right platform to continue his political journey.
He noted that the APC has demonstrated resilience in steering Nigeria through challenging times while laying foundations for sustainable growth. Yakubu praised the party’s emphasis on strengthening democratic institutions, expanding opportunities for youth and women, and fostering international partnerships that align with Nigeria’s long-term interests.
As Chairman of the Nigeria–China Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Yakubu pointed to the APC-led government’s efforts in expanding Nigeria’s global partnerships, particularly in trade, technology, and infrastructure. He stressed that these initiatives have created opportunities for development that directly benefit ordinary Nigerians.
Yakubu assured his supporters in Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency that his defection was aimed at strengthening their voice in national politics and ensuring their aspirations are better represented. He pledged to work closely with APC leaders to deepen reforms and deliver tangible benefits to his constituency.
Political observers view Yakubu’s defection as a boost to the APC in Taraba state, given his influence in parliamentary diplomacy and grassroots politics. His move is expected to further consolidate the party’s presence in the state and enhance its prospects ahead of future elections.
Yakubu expressed gratitude to the PDP for the opportunities it afforded him in the past but maintained that the APC now offers the most credible platform for building a stronger, united, and prosperous Nigeria.
Favor As Higher Power?
(The hidden truth)
Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
