The Attorney General of Kano State, Haruna Dederi, has come under fire from APC Chieftain Jesutega Onokpasa for allegedly accusing the justices of the Court of Appeal of accepting bribes in relation to the Kano judgment. Onokpasa expressed his inability to accept that Dereri is the attorney general.
During the interview with AIT, Onokpasa stated that for such claims to be made, there must be evidence or proof to support them. He expressed the view that no human being is immune to error, pointing out that the CTC of the judgement was just a clerical error.
According to him, “The Attorney General of Kano State—I mean, I cannot believe that man is an attorney general. He came on television, on another network, and was accusing, a whole Attorney General, what a shame, and was accusing their Lordships, the justices of the Court of Appeal, of collecting bribes, and I’m like, do you have any proof of this?”
