JUST IN: Lagos Igbo community pays last respect to Osolo, Oba Agbabiaka

As sign of respect for the late traditional ruler of Osolo Kingdom in Isolo Local Government, Lagos State, the Igbo community joined other people in Isolo to attend the Eighth Day prayers organised by Muslim clerics in honour of Oba Adelaja Agbabiaka, Osolo of Isolo. The delegation was led by Igbo 1, Eze Christian Uchechukwu Nwachukwu and accompanied by Dr Jude Emeka Omobowale Idimogu, former two-term member, State House of Assembly, Oshodi Isolo Constituency 2. Others included Chief Vitus Uzoh, former Deputy President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State; Kanayo Osondu, Councillor Isolo LCDA, Igwe Israel Orjiekwe, Mr. Sylvester Obi, SSA to Chairman, Isolo LCDA and Pastor Joe Ihitegbulem.

They were at the palace to commiserate with people of Osolo on the passage of their revered monarch. It was a great farewell visit to the royal father of the Isolo ancient kingdom. Well wishers also crowded the palace to pay him their last respect.

Onwa Obodoukwu, Chief Uzoh, described the late king as kind-hearted Oba who dedicated his life to the service of humanity: “The late Osolo would be remembered for the way he loved and encouraged Igbo in his domain for peaceful co-existence in Isolo Kingdom.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>
