Landmark Group, a major tourism and hospitality player in Lagos, has addressed concerns about the potential impact of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project on their businesses.
The group confirmed receiving demolition notices and acknowledged worries from stakeholders.
“We have been inundated with calls…regarding the potential destruction of several tourism…businesses,” said the Group CEO and Managing Director, Paul Onwuanibe.
However, they are actively engaged with various government bodies, including the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing and Lagos State authorities.
Landmark emphasizes their support for the project’s economic benefits but proposes rerouting the initial 1.5km section to its original path.
Landmark is a strong supporter of the project’s economic potential. “The Coastal Road is a commendable project…which will significantly boost the economy,” they stated.
