According to Ogbeni, Junior Pope told him at the last minute that he could no longer make it to his mum’s birthday. This left him really furious because of the close bond that they shared. Besides, Dave Ogbeni had already spent so much time preparing for his “presence” only for JP, as he is fondly called, to cancel the trip.
In fact, Dave Ogbeni was so furious and disappointed that he ended the call before Junior Pope could finish explaining. But guess what really happened?

Not only was the whole incident of Junior Pope not being able to attend Dave Ogbeni’s mum’s birthday a joke, the “Nkoli Nwa Nsukka” actor was actually at the venue of the birthday celebrations. However, he had to rent a cab at N100k from Asaba to Ughelli Dave’s home town alongside Ruby Ojiakor. Hence, Ogbeni did know that they had been talking from a tinted car in front of him.
Sharing a video from the venue of his mum’s birthday, Dave Ogbeni shared the moment that Junior Pope surprised him alongside Ruby. They were already in the building! It was such a relief and awesome surprise.
He wrote;
“During mummy’s birthday junior pope jokingly told me He couldn’t make it to the venue at the die minute. I didn’t take it lightly. I was mad at him. How could my brother from another mother not make it to my Mum’s bday. Before He could finish explaining why Himself and rubby couldn’t make it to the bday, I interrupted him , screaming at him not to bother explaining and I ended the call immediately on him.
“I was furious! How could I spend so much time preparing for His presence and all He could do is cancel the trip!! “WHO DOES THAT” Little did I know he was talking from the inside of a Car with tinted windscreen already parked right there in front of me at the venue.
“Before I knew it, He energetically jumped out of the car and this happened 🫡😆🥹. It was Later I realized His Car wasn’t available and He had to rent a Cab at N100k from Asaba to Ughelli my home town just to make sure He doesn’t miss mummy’s Birthday. Not just that , Himself and Rubby gifted Mummy thousands of Naira just to make her happy. Against all odds He made it to celebrate mummy.
