Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has cautioned that it could lead to complications if a man planning a monogamous marriage marries a woman older than him.
In a post shared on his social media handle, Omokri argued that men often maintain their sexual desire well into their 80s or even 90s, while women tend to experience a decrease in libido as they age. He suggested that when a woman is older and loses her libido, it may lead to infidelity among men.
He expressed:
“For men with a healthy libido, marrying a woman of the same age can be risky. It’s somewhat less risky to marry a woman who is only a few years younger. However, if you intend to have a monogamous marriage, marrying a woman older than you could lead to disaster. If you both agree to a polygamous relationship, then it may not pose an issue.”
Omokri emphasized that love alone cannot control one’s sexual desires and pointed out the natural gender disparity in libido. He further highlighted the potential challenges that may arise when a man retains his libido while his older wife experiences a decrease in sexual desire, potentially leading to difficulties in the marriage.
In conclusion, he recommended maintaining a healthy age gap between spouses to promote a more viable and harmonious marriage.
