Justice Ojienoh “When He Was NBA President, He Told Yar’Adua To Leave Office Because He Was Sick”

Attorney Justice Ojienoh has claimed that during Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s tenure as NBA President, he counseled then-President Yar’Adua, who was dealing with health issues, to resign from office in an honorable manner. He claimed that although the governor has not followed the same path of action, he now finds himself in a similar situation.

In an interview with TVC, Ojienoh discussed the discord between Governor Akeredolu and his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and made this claim. Additionally, he expressed his delight with President Tinubu’s efforts to resolve the conflict.

In Ojienoh’s words: “The governor (Akeredolu) at the time when he was NBA president told Yar’Adua to honorably leave office because he was very sick. The governor too is in that situation now and he is not taking that step. But I am very happy with the role the president is actually playing”.
