Kidnapping That Is Happening Now Is Being Organized Among The Family Members – Aisha Buhari

With just about two days left to the end of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has said that her husband has done exceedingly well in the area of insecurity. She scored her husband 70 percent on security, and said that even kidnapping that is happening in parts of the country now is being organized among the family members. She said that even banditry and insurgency are also being organized by members of the local community.

Speaking during a recent interview with The Sun Nigeria, the First Lady said her husband received Nigeria intact, and that he is also going to hand over the country intact to the next administration.

She said – “I think maybe we scored 70 percent on security. I say so because before now, there were a lot of barricades, a lot of roadblocks, but now there are no more roadblocks, nothing.

“Even the kidnapping that is happening now is being organized among the family members. It is a deliberate thing, you know. And then the insurgency or the banditry may be organized by some local people, you know. But if there is no connivance, I can say that we have achieved 90 percent on security.”

Insecurity has been one of the biggest challenges facing the country in the past years. Thousands of people have lost their lives to insurgency and banditry, while many more have been forced to flee from their communities to seek refuge in other places. But the First Lady stated that President Muhammadu has done well in the area of insecurity as compared to what he met on the ground when he came into office in 2015.
