In a historic ceremony held at Mapo Hall, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja was officially installed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland. During his inaugural address, he extended a warm welcome to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, acknowledging their personal bond and expressing appreciation for the President’s connection to Ibadan through his wife, Remi Tinubu. He emphasized the city’s role as a cultural anchor for the Yoruba people and celebrated its openness to all.

He remarked that anyone of Yoruba descent who does not yet own a home in Ibadan is still missing a vital part of their identity.
