The President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association, Mariya Lagbaja, has unveiled several newly completed projects during her maiden visit to the Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Jos, the Capital city of Plateau State.
Mariya, who is the wife of the Chief of Army Staff, COAS Taoreed Lagbaja, unveiled a new multipurpose hall named after her, classroom blocks, and tricycles, among others during the three-day event.

“It was all pomp and pageantry in Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Jos, Plateau State recently when the President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja, commissioned several newly completed projects during her maiden visit to the 3 Division Area of Responsibility.
“The colourful 3-day event which took place from 22 – 24 November 2023, witnessed the commissioning of a brand new multi-purpose hall named, Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja (MAL) Multi-purpose Hall, a remodeled NAOWA Creche and Admin block at the NAOWA Nursery and Primary School, and newly constructed NAOWA Bus Stop where some branded NAOWA tricycles were also commissioned.”
