LP Crisis: Obi Came 3rd And Wasn’t The Only One Who Contested, So Why Is He The Target? Ikechukwu Asks

Knowing full well that Apapa, Arabambi, and others are still claiming leadership of the party, Calistus Okafor has stepped out to identify himself as the National Chairman of the Labour Party, adding a new dimension to the leadership fight within the party.

Professor Okey Ikechukwu has questioned the timing of all of these problems for the Labour Party, given that the 2023 Presidential Election is currently being reviewed by the Appeal Court. He claimed that the APC is the top suspect and that there must be something the Labour Party possesses that others fear so much that they are attempting everything they can to destabilize the party.

Professor Ikechukwu pointed out that Peter Obi finished third in the Presidential Election and that he wasn’t the only one who ran for office, therefore he questioned why Obi was the primary target.

His exact words were:

Obviously, APC is the prime suspect, but there must be something very scary about the Labour Party that has motivated others to seek to destabilize it. Peter Obi, who finished in third place, is being attacked. He didn’t win first place, and he wasn’t even close to second.
