Luckily it wasn’t a woman – Mourinho after hugging ball boy following Roma win over Udinese

In a moment of jubilation, Jose Mourinho expressed his joy by embracing a ball boy on the sidelines after AS Roma secured a late victory against Udinese on Sunday.

The Giallorossi initially took the lead with Gianluca Mancini’s first-half strike, but Florian Thauvin’s 57th-minute equaliser added suspense to the match.

In the 81st minute, Paulo Dybala’s goal restored Roma’s lead, and Stephan El Shaarawy sealed the victory with a goal in the 90th minute.

Mourinho’s excitement reached its peak after El Shaarawy’s decisive goal, prompting him to dash towards the Roma bench and share a bear hug with the first person in sight, who happened to be a ball boy.

Speaking to reporters after the match, the legendary manager said, “I celebrated the goal that closed the match… There was a kid, but luckily it wasn’t a woman or a policeman. He was the first one I saw in front of me!”

AS Roma has successfully ended their winless streak, ascending to the fifth position in Serie A with 21 points from 13 matches. Their next challenge awaits in the Europa League as they face Servette on Thursday.
