As reported by Punch News, the man who slept in a hotel with popular Ibadan based online cloth vendor, Adesina Olayinka AKA Khadi before she died has surrendered himself to the police after being declared wanted.
He also revealed to the police what happened between him and the vendor before he left her in the hotel.
According to the man’s testament, he had invited the lady to meet with him in the hotel, to which she obliged. He said that she informed him that she was feeling weak on the night they slept in the room together, and that he decided to allow her rest after she complained.
He stated that he left her in the early hours of the next morning in a bid to give her space and time to recover her strength as she claimed to be weak. He added that she, via a phone call with the receptionist, personally permitted the hotel staff to allow him log out before her.
The man, who is a regular customer of the hotel, claimed not to have known of Khadi’s death till he was called by the hotel staff. He surrendered himself to the police and agreed to be kept in custody during the period of investigation.
