May 29: Defend my legacy – Buhari advises Bola Tinubu

According to reports coming from DAILY POST, ahead of the 29th of May, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday in Abuja, made some requests from President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In the report, Buhari, who pointed out he had run a good race and completed his course as Nigeria’s president, advised Tinubu to defend his legacy and make the experience even better for his successor.

The report has it that this was revealed in a message by Femi Adesina, Buhari’s spokesman.

“I have run a decent race, I have completed my course. It is now time for another to take up the baton”, President Buhari said.

“Today, I am so delighted to have handed over to you, my successor, Your Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 3 key documents that will lead you as you strive to define a path for your government.

“It’s my sincere wish that you will find these documents useful, as this would be the first time in the history of Nigeria that such thorough documentation will be produced for handover to a new government. I strongly urge you to defend this legacy and make the experience even better for your successor by the time you are to vacate office”, he added.
