May 29: The Swearing In Of Tinubu Is Only A Ceremony, It Won’t Tie The Hands Of The Court – Atiku

Preparation is on going for the smooth transition of power from President Muhammadu Buhari to the President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and this will take place on May 29, 2023.

The Presidential Candidate of PDP, Atiku Abubakar through his lawyers at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has reacted to the inauguration of Tinubu and according to him, the swearing in of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President of Nigeria is only a ceremony that does not in any way tie the hands of the court, and will not prevent the court from passing its judgment.

Atiku said that the oath that would be taken on May 29 by Tinubu binds him, and not the court, implying that the petition filed against his victory will continue uninterrupted even after he assumes office as President.

In his words, he said:

I have been asked about May 29, I want to assure people that swearing in is only a ceremony that does not in any way tie the hands of the court.”
