May29: Boss Mustapha reveals that the Military plan to avert any attempt to stop Tinubu’s inauguration

A few weeks ago, the Department of State Services (DSS) issued a warning regarding a group of politicians who allegedly planned to establish an interim government once President Muhammadu Buhari’s term ended. Alongside the DSS, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Military also issued strong warnings, emphasizing the inviolable nature of President-elect Bola Tinubu’s inauguration. Boss Mustapha, the Secretary General of the Federation, has now addressed the military’s strategy to prevent any attempts to disrupt Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29th.

Mustapha expressed their firm belief that agitators are plotting to hinder the inauguration ceremony. Nevertheless, he assured Nigerians that the Military is fully aware of the situation and will maintain a high level of vigilance during the event. He explicitly stated that there is a comprehensive plan in place to facilitate a smooth and secure transition of power from President Muhammadu Buhari to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Federal Government, he emphasized, is intentionally focused on strengthening Nigeria’s democracy.

He further emphasized the ongoing efforts to prevent any untoward incidents, asserting that all necessary measures are being taken. The security apparatus, including the military, is diligently coordinating its actions. Mustapha specifically highlighted the military’s detailed plan to ensure a seamless transition of power. While acknowledging that agitators may continue to exploit weaknesses in the system, he assured the public that the security forces are prepared to protect the President-elect and everyone attending the inauguration. He conveyed a sense of confidence, stating that they are at the forefront of their game.
