Mixed Reactions As South-East Governors Name Second Niger Bridge After President Buhari

In a recent development, it has been reported by the Punch Newspaper, that governors in the South-East have agreed that the recently constructed Second Niger Bridge shall be named after President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).

This notable decision was officially verified by Bashir Ahmad, the Special Assistant to the President on Digital Communications, who took to Twitter to share this news on Tuesday. Moreover, Bashir Ahmad also revealed that the inauguration of the bridge is scheduled to take place today, signifying a momentous occasion for the nation. The Special Assistant to the President on Digital/New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, also confirmed this in a tweet.

Reacting to the information, many Nigerians on Twitter praised the decision of the governors of the South East to name the significant infrastructural project after President Muhammadu Buhari, while some opined against the idea.
