In a controversial video footage that was published by the Punch Newspaper online yesterday evening, it was seen that the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has attacked the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) following the election victory of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during the 2023 presidential election.
Recall that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, contested on a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket and due to that, Christians felt cheated and voiced out against it.
While El-Rufai was talking on Tinubu’s victory, he said that no liar, even a Christian can claim that he won the presidential election, even Peter Obi too cannot claim he won it.
He said, “Since when Asiwaju won, CAN has not uttered any word. That is how we achieved peace in this nation. So, if we keep bringing the Muslim Muslim ticket, everything will be going on smoothly for us Muslims. That is how we do and to me, we have finished our work. Since Asiwaju already won the election.”
