NANS Begins War With FG, Reveals What They Will Do On Monday; What NANS Plan To Do Is SHOCKING

On Friday, the National Industrial Court (NIC) in Abuja rejected the federal government’ s appeal to compel the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), which is on strike, to report to work until the outcome of the lawsuit contesting the strike.

James Igwe, SAN, the federal government’ s attorney, asked the court to order ASUU to start working again while the lawsuit was being decided at a resumed hearing.

Femi Falana, SAN, the defendant’ s attorney, disagreed with the proposal since it would equal deciding the merits of the lawsuit.

Falana was concurred with by Justice Peterson Hammam, who stated that as it was a matter that needed to be decided, it could not be settled in advance of the hearing.
