Ned Nwoko Demands Regina Daniels Return Home Ahead of Sammy’s Release – Family Speaks Out
Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels‘ older brother, Sweezy, has raised an alarm over the whereabouts of his younger brother, Samuel Daniels, better known as Sammy West, who was arrested in Lagos on Monday, November 3, and reportedly taken to Abuja.
Naija News reports that Regina’s brother, in a post via Instagram, accused Senator Ned Nwoko of intimidation, stating that the brother’s case is no longer an arrest.
Sweezy stated that Sammy West has neither a legal aide nor access to food or water.
According to him, Ned vowed to keep Sammy locked up until Regina returns to his home.
He wrote, “Sammy does not have a right to legal aid. Sammy does not have to be seen. Sammy has had nothing to eat or drink. Sammy is Alive? I no longer know! Sammy’s location has been undisclosed. Is this still an arrest, kidnap or intimidation and power abuse.
“Ned said and I quote, “If Regina does not come back home Sammy will never be released” If you want to go to court, let’s go to court, why obstructing his refusal to legal aide?”
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command has clarified reports claiming it arrested Sammy West.
Naija News reports that the clarification came on Tuesday, following online reports that Lagos Police officers had detained Samuel amid the recent online dispute involving his family and Senator Ned Nwoko.
According to the Command, the arrest was not carried out by its personnel but by officers from Abuja, who arrived in Lagos with a valid warrant to execute their assignment.
It explained that Samuel was only briefly detained at the Ogombo Police Division because the arrest occurred late at night, and he was later transferred out of the state for further investigation.
