Nigeria lost two straight games, dropping points in the CAF WC Qualifer Group C Table

Zimbabwe matched them toe-to-toe, creating a tougher contest compared to their earlier encounter with Lesotho.

The first half proved challenging for Nigeria, with a missed opportunity in the 15th minute when Nathan Tella failed to deliver a decisive cross.

Zimbabwe capitalized on a free-kick in the 26th minute, with Walter Musona’s powerful strike beating Francis Uzoho to put the Warriors ahead.

At halftime, Peseiro made changes, introducing Bright Osayi-Samuel, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Victor Boniface to inject fresh energy.

While Nigeria continued to face difficulties breaking down Zimbabwe’s solid defense, Iheanacho showed his goal-scoring prowess by equalizing with a precise strike into the bottom-left corner.

Despite Nigeria’s late efforts, Zimbabwe’s resolute defense held firm, and the match ended with a 1-1 draw.
